Anti Perkinsus olseni Monoclonal Antibody Generation Using Hypnospores as Antigens

Antibodies are valuable for the detection, identification, and diagnosis of pathogens in many fields, including aquaculture. In this study, we aimed to produce monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against parasite Perkinsus olseni, isolated from clam Paphia undulata Thailand. The mAbs were characterized using dot blotting immunohistochemistry techniques order identify their class ability detect hypnospores zoospores P. olseni. Immunoreactions between obtained olseni produced black or grey spots according concentration parasites detected by mAbs. quantitative detection thresholds two most strongly reactive 105 cells/mL (producing spots) 107 spots), more than (grey zoospores. Both showed immunoreactivity at surface trophozoite cells infected tissues as assessed analysis, indicating that they could be used identification infection commercial Pa. production.
